Building new cardiothoracic education tools

Building new cardiothoracic education tools takes amazing vision and incredible determination.
In this case - we developed a Lifecast Toddler, (aged 3), an open chest mechanism, a realistic look, feel, and movement, inflating lungs and a bespoke bleeding into the thorax system.
Built at Elstree movie studios we used the “mech” team from the movie star wars to help us get the movement of the chest opening to feel right.
The design and manufacture was led by John Schoonraad - creative director, supported by Eugene and the Team.
Co-Designed by an incredible team of Doctors at the Brompton Hospital in London this model is now going on sale.
